I noticed a huge gap in the market for women with the dilemma of looking great or staying warm on a special night out. Clutching a chunky knit would ruin the look and spoil the minimal image of a formal strappy or strappless dress.

My daughters and friends were constantly caught out by the cold, each time heading out to brave the chill, all in the name of fashion. The sacrifice was made to endure the cold for the sake of looking good.

There was nothing on the market that was warm enough, looked good and small enough to take anywhere, so I designed it myself.

In 2017, the Clutch Cardi was born: a thermal, lightweight cardigan that folds neatly into a satin pouch the size of your phone. Easy to carry. Effortless to style with its contouring shape. Actually warm. It’s the piece you throw in your bag and forget about — until the moment you’re so glad you have it. Consider it the emergency cardigan you always have on hand.
